2018 has been a roller coaster year in movies from broken box office records to stunning screen performances. This year is still lead by the MCU with Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity war and Ant man and the Wasp. Infinity war is without a doubt the best movie of 2018 even with a few months to go till 2019. There have been some other great movies like mission impossible fallout, the incredibles 2, and Jurassic world fallen kindom. And there are some great movies to come like Aquaman, the meg and the fantastic beasts sequel.
2019 is looking to be even bigger with some sequels, new entries and new universes. I mean who is not waiting for captain marvel and avengers 4? However, there are other great movies to come which will bring great experience to all the generations and even bring back some nostalgic memories of many adults.
The following are our picks for the most anticipated movies of 2019.
1. Hellboy
We do not know what to expect from this reboot but I really did enjoy the two movies from the previous version. Hellboy will be facing a sorceress called the Blood Queen from the comics. The film will also be rated R so you can expect a lot of violence and bad language which kinda suits this badass character. Thank you deadpool.
2. Shazam
With DC playing catch up with marvel. I think its about time to change the tone of the universe from the previous dark and boring one. Wonder woman did wonders on screen and brought about a unique story line. If they could make the movies as good as they make the cartoons like the justice league and young justice, then the MCU should be worried. Shazam or Captain Marvel is one of the more comedic characters in the DC universe and can really commence the change the fans want to see. Aquaman looks really good in the trailers and I think the DC universe is really coming around.
3. Captain Marvel
We initially knew that captain marvel would be set in the 90s so we couldn’t figure out how it would be connected to the Avengers. After the post credit scene in infinity war, fans were extremely ecstatic as Nick Fury transmitted a signal to her and faded away. How will she make her debut? We will find out in March, 2019
4. Avengers 4
Avengers: Infinity war is by far the greatest super hero movie ever made. If any movie could top it off, it would be the sequel and fans eagerly wait as their curiosity can be easily noted from thousands of theories exploding every day on youtube. Which theory did you find interesting?
5. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
The Monsterverse is coming along nicely with Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla: King of the Monsters should be an epic thriller as we see giant monsters battle for supremacy.
6. Aladdin
This is another movie which will take us back to our childhood and bring back to life some of our favorite childhood characters. Everyone would have loved to have Robin Williams play Genie but life isn’t fair. Lets see how Will Smith takes on the role and we all know he definitely has the wits for the role.
7. Toy Story 4
Woody and the gang are back at it again. Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, and children of all ages. Be prepared for a family friendly special next fall.
8. Spider-Man: Far From Home
“I’m sorry”, were the last words of Peter as he faded away only to the sets of Far from home, it seems. The friendly neighborhood you know who is going to return and we will see a very popular comic book villain, Mysterio, make his debut.
9. The Lion King
This was the cartoon that started it all. We are yet to see any trailer but we know what to expect. It is the live-version remake of the original so we get the idea but we all remember Maleficent and Snow White and the huntsmen.
10. Hobbs & Shaw
Hobbs and Shaw, two powerhouses who don’t really like each other are at it again. We know they’ll be working together to take down a target. Their chemistry was amazing in fate of the furious and these mean tough SOBs really know how to give us the best fight scenes.
11. It: Chapter Two
The losers club has all grown up and 27 years later, they know what to expect. The cast of this movie has been great and fans are looking forward to dance on their seats as they witness the thrills this movie has to offer.

13. Wonder Woman 1984
The DC universe is a mix up at the moment. We all want to forget the Justice League. This is where the DC universe needs to focus on. Making solo movies of the great characters have proven to be the first chapter to a great story. The justice league was just too much in a hurry. Wonder Woman 1984 will give us some more of the same we loved from the first movie and Gal Gadot has already won our hearts from the get go.
14. Frozen 2
This looks like the perfect end to 2019. A family movie for the holidays with warm and exciting character returning from the first part will definitely make it one of the most anticipated movies of 2019.
