Just a month to the release of the most awaited movie of the year and probably the last few decades, Marvel officially unveiled the character portraits of all the heroes and allies dead and alive after the events of Infinity War. The posters are simply close ups of the characters looking into the distance dramatically with “Avenge the Fallen” written across the forehead.
The difference among the posters is that the characters left alive at the end after Thanos’ sap are in color whereas the others are in black. Ant-Man, the Wasp and Hawkeye also feature on the posters as they played no part in Infinity War. Ant-Man was trapped into the Quantum Realm at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp and he will play a major role in Endgame. One of the biggest and perhaps only surprise on the posters was Valkyrie who was nowhere to be found in Infinity War. The last time fans saw Valkyrie was in Thor: Ragnarok. After defeating Hela with Thor and company, she boarded the ship with the rest of the surviving Asgardians to find a new home. However, in Infinity War, the movie opened up with Thanos and the Black Order boarding that same ship in space and the Mad Titan had already killed half the people on board. Valkyrie was aboard that ship, but there was no indication to whether she lived or died. This raises even more questions including who else might have survived including our favorite Kronan “Korg” as well as the ravagers who might also be in this epic final show down to end phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
