Google Pixel 3

Google has finally revealed its latest flagship phones which will be in direct competition with the iPhone XS and XR series. The Pixel 3 phones will challenge the best phones in the huge phone market with Google’s greatest weapon which is artificial intelligence.

The iPhone XS and Pixel are in the high end competition of the smartphone market. The iPhone XS pulls ahead of the Pixel 3 by a narrow margin but with a relatively large price gap. We try to be as straight forward as possible in our gadget reviews and pixel 3’s comparable offering is questionable as neither the specs nor screen is superior to that of the iPhones. And yet, they are still priced the same or in the same price category with top phones including the galaxy devices.

The camera is what everyone is talking about along with AI. We’ll just have to see if these two key features are enough to justify the price tags of these devices.  One standout feature in the pixel phones is call screening. When someone gets a call, they can tap the screen button, and the person on the other end hears a fairly natural, Duplex-style AI voice talking to them. It shows what they say back in real time on your screen, and despite some hiccups from this loud room, it totally worked. You can tap little text responses right on the call screen, and it will speak those responses to your caller.

Google has invested more time in integrating AI features that are built into the camera, including Lens, a night-shooting mode, and so on. This is the future of technology but time will tell if the market would be willing to spend over 700 dollars on a bunch of extra features and just the camera.

Let’s take a look at the specs these super phones are packing;
